Dr Meloria Meschi is a Senior Managing Director in FTI’s Economic and Financial Consulting practice, and is based in the London office. Prior to this Meloria was an Affiliate with LECG LLP and an Associate Professor of Economics at John Cabot University in Rome.
Dr Meschi specialises in the application of complex economic and statistical analysis in legal, regulatory and policy disputes. She has been retained as a witness expert in matters of economics, statistics and econometrics before the High Court of Justice, the Norwegian Courts, the Indian Competition Commission and Arbitral Tribunal, the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal (SCC rules), the High Court of South Africa, and the Italian Courts, and has given oral testimony in several occasions.
Dr Meschi holds a PhD in Economics (Applied Econometrics) from the University of Warwick, and a PhD in Economic and Social Policy from the University of Genoa. She has published numerous articles in international journals, and her joint paper on the impact of mobile telecommunications on economic development gained the front page of The Economist in March 2005. She teaches courses on regulation topics at the Masters in Antitrust and Regulation, University of Rome Tor Vergata, and regularly speaks at international conferences.
